Ralli

Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ralli (“Ralli,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you use the Ralli mobile app, the website at letsralli.app and related features (together, the “Services”). It also explains the choices you have.

Ralli connects students at the same school so they can arrange rides with each other. Because of how the app works, some of your information is shared with other students, and during a ride you’ve agreed to, your location is shared with the other person on that ride. Please read this policy so you understand how that works.

1. The short version

  • We collect what we need to run Ralli: your school email, your profile, your ride posts and offers, your messages, your ratings, and your location during a ride you’ve agreed to.
  • Other students on your campus can see your profile, ratings and ride posts. The person you’re riding with can see your messages to them and, during the ride, your location.
  • We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
  • We don’t process payments. Riders pay drivers directly through other apps or in cash.
  • We don’t share what you do on Ralli with your school unless the law requires it.
  • You can see, correct or delete your information by contacting us at support@letsralli.app.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account information: your name, school email address, the school you attend, and a password or login method. If you choose to add them, a profile photo and a phone number.
  • Driver information: if you offer rides, details about your vehicle that you choose to share with riders, such as its make, model, color and license plate.
  • Ride posts and offers: pickup and destination, timing, number of seats, notes, the price you offer, and the payment methods you accept. If you choose to share a payment username (for example, a Venmo or Cash App handle), we store it so we can show it to the person you’re riding with.
  • Messages: what you send to other users through in-app chat.
  • Ratings, reviews and reports: ratings and reviews you give, and reports you submit about other users, along with any details you include.
  • Support: information you send when you contact us.

Information collected automatically:

  • Location: when you give permission, your device’s precise location while you are on a ride you’ve agreed to, so the people on that ride can see where each other are. We may also use your approximate location to show you rides near you.
  • Device and usage information: your device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, device identifiers, push notification token, crash reports, and how you use the app (such as features used and screens viewed).
  • Website information: when you visit letsralli.app, our hosting provider logs standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. The website does not use advertising cookies.

Information from others:

  • Other users: ratings, reviews, reports and messages that other users send about or to you.
  • Email verification: to confirm your school email, we send a code or link to that address. We don’t receive your school records or any information from your school.
  • Service providers: information from companies that help us run the Services, such as delivery and error reports.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and run your account and confirm you’re eligible, including verifying your school email;
  • show ride posts and offers to students on your campus, deliver messages, and share location between the people on a ride;
  • show ratings and reviews, and let you report or block other users;
  • keep the Services safe, including investigating reports, preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service;
  • send you notifications and service messages about your rides, messages and account;
  • understand how the Services are used, fix problems and improve features;
  • respond to your requests and questions; and
  • comply with the law and respond to legal requests.

4. How information is shared

With other users. Ralli works by connecting students, so some information is visible to others:

  • Students on your campus can see your name, profile photo, school, ratings, and the ride posts and offers you make.
  • When a rider and driver agree on a ride, each can see the other’s ride details, messages, and any vehicle and payment details you chose to share. During the ride, each can see the other’s location.
  • Ratings and reviews you give may be shown to other users.

Information you share with another user is then also in their hands, and we can’t control what they do with it.

With service providers. We use companies that host our servers and data, deliver email and push notifications, provide maps and location services, and report crashes and usage. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

For safety and legal reasons. We may share information with law enforcement, emergency services or others when we believe in good faith it’s necessary to respond to legal process, to protect someone from death or serious injury, to investigate or prevent illegal activity or violations of our Terms, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Ralli, our users or the public.

In a business transfer. If Ralli is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

With your consent, or at your direction.

De-identified or aggregated information that can’t reasonably identify you, which we may use and share for any purpose.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t share your activity on Ralli with your school unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

5. Location information

Location is central to how rides work, so here is exactly how we handle it. When you’re on a ride you’ve agreed to and you’ve given permission, the app uses your device’s precise location to show the people on that ride where each other are. Location sharing for a ride stops when the ride ends.

You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings. If you do, ride tracking and some other features won’t work. We keep trip location information only as long as we need it for safety reviews, reports, disputes and legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify it.

6. Messages

We store your in-app messages so we can deliver them and show your conversation history. We don’t read your messages as a matter of routine, but we may review them when a message or user is reported, when we’re investigating a safety issue or violation of our Terms, or when the law requires it. Please don’t send sensitive information, such as passwords or financial account numbers, through chat.

7. Payments

Ralli does not process payments and does not collect your card or bank details. Riders pay drivers directly using other apps or cash. If you use a payment app, its own privacy policy applies to that payment.

8. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, except that we may keep some information as long as needed to resolve disputes, investigate reports and safety issues, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, or comply with legal obligations. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed in a way that breaches our safeguards. Keep your login secure and tell us at support@letsralli.app if you think your account has been compromised.

10. Your choices and rights

  • Profile: you can view and update most of your profile in the app.
  • Delete your account: you can ask us to delete your account and personal information by emailing support@letsralli.app from the address on your account, or from within the app where available.
  • Location: you can turn off location access in your device settings.
  • Notifications: you can turn off push notifications in your device settings. We may still send messages needed to run your account.
  • Blocking: you can block other users so they can’t contact you.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising or certain profiling. We don’t sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, and we treat browser signals like Global Privacy Control as a valid opt-out request where the law requires it.

To make a request, email support@letsralli.app. We’ll verify your request by confirming it comes from the email on your account, and we’ll respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Age requirement

Ralli is only for people who are 18 or older. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us at support@letsralli.app and we’ll delete it.

12. Students and schools

Ralli is independent of your school. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any college or university, and information you give us is not part of your school’s education records. We use your school email only to confirm you belong to your campus and to contact you about your account.

13. Where information is processed

Ralli is based in the United States and is intended for use in the United States. Information we collect is processed and stored in the United States.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know in the app, by email or by updating the date at the top of this page before they take effect.
