Ralli

Terms of Service

Effective November 4, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Ralli (“Ralli,” “we,” “us” or “our”). They govern your use of the Ralli mobile app, the website at letsralli.app and any related features (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account, downloading the app or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Services.

Please read these Terms carefully. Ralli only connects students with each other. We do not provide transportation, we do not employ or screen drivers or riders, and every ride is arranged and taken at your own risk. Section 22 requires most disputes to be resolved through binding individual arbitration and waives class actions and jury trials, unless you opt out as described there.

1. The short version

This summary is here to help you, but it isn’t a substitute for the full Terms below.

  • Ralli is a place for students at the same school to post where they’re headed and for other students to offer rides. That’s all it is.
  • Ralli is not a ride company, taxi service or transportation provider. Drivers are other students, not our employees or contractors.
  • We do not run background checks, check driving records, verify licenses or insurance, or inspect vehicles. The only thing we check is that you can receive email at a supported school address.
  • Drivers set their own prices. Riders pay drivers directly, outside the app. Ralli doesn’t handle money and takes no cut.
  • You decide who you ride with or who you drive. You take every ride at your own risk.
  • Drivers are responsible for having a valid license, a safe vehicle, the right insurance and for following every law that applies to them.
  • In an emergency, call 911. Ralli is not an emergency service and does not monitor rides.

2. What Ralli is, and what it isn’t

Ralli is a technology platform. It lets students at a supported school see ride requests from other students at that school, offer rides, message each other, share location during a ride they’ve agreed to, and rate each other afterward.

Ralli does not provide transportation services. We are not a transportation carrier, taxi company, charter service or common carrier, and we don’t dispatch, direct or control drivers. We don’t decide whether a ride happens, who gives it, when, by what route or for what price.

Drivers who use Ralli are independent individuals acting on their own behalf. They are not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers or contractors of Ralli, and nothing in these Terms creates any of those relationships. Riders are likewise acting on their own behalf.

Any arrangement for a ride, including the price, payment, pickup, drop-off, timing and conduct during the ride, is made solely between the rider and the driver. Ralli is not a party to that arrangement and has no responsibility for it.

3. No screening, background checks or vetting

Ralli confirms only one thing about a user: that they could receive a verification message at an email address belonging to a supported school. That confirms access to an email inbox. It does not confirm who someone is.

We do not, and have no obligation to, verify or investigate any user’s identity, age, enrollment status, criminal history, sex offender registry status, driving record, driver’s license, vehicle registration, insurance, vehicle condition or safety, or anything else about them.

A verified school email, a profile, a rating, a review or any other information in the app is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification or guarantee by Ralli of any user, vehicle or ride. Ratings and reviews come from other users and we don’t verify them.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether to interact with, ride with or drive any other user. Use good judgment. Some sensible habits:

  • Check that the driver, vehicle and plate match what you were told before you get in.
  • Share your trip with a friend, and ride with a friend when you can.
  • Keep your conversations in the app until you’re comfortable.
  • Don’t get in a car with a driver who seems impaired, and don’t drive impaired.
  • If something feels wrong, don’t take the ride, and call 911 if you’re in danger.

4. Who can use Ralli

To use the Services you must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • have a valid email address issued by a school where Ralli is available, and be a current student there;
  • be able to form a binding contract under the law where you live;
  • not have been suspended or removed from Ralli before; and
  • not be barred from using the Services under any applicable law.

Each person may have only one account. You may not create an account for someone else, use another person’s school email, or transfer your account.

Ralli is independent of every school. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any college or university, and school names and logos appear only to show where Ralli is available. Your school does not operate, supervise or take responsibility for Ralli, and using Ralli doesn’t replace any transportation service your school offers. You remain responsible for following your school’s own rules.

5. Your account

You agree to give accurate, current information when you sign up and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your login and devices secure. Tell us right away at support@letsralli.app if you think someone else has accessed your account.

If you stop being a student at your school, or lose access to your school email, you must stop using the Services for that campus. We may ask you to verify your school email again at any time.

6. If you ride

When you post a ride request or accept an offer, you agree to:

  • describe your trip honestly, including pickup, destination, timing and the number of people riding;
  • be at the pickup on time, or cancel in the app as early as you can;
  • pay the driver the amount you agreed to, directly, in the way you agreed to;
  • wear a seatbelt and follow the driver’s reasonable safety requests;
  • treat the driver, their vehicle and other passengers with respect, and pay for any damage you cause; and
  • not bring anything illegal or dangerous into the vehicle.

You understand that Ralli does not guarantee that anyone will offer you a ride, that an accepted ride will happen, or that any driver will be safe, licensed, insured, on time or as described.

7. If you drive

Each time you offer or give a ride, you represent and agree that:

  • you hold a valid driver’s license for the vehicle you are driving and are legally allowed to drive;
  • the vehicle is lawfully registered, in safe working condition, and you are permitted to use it;
  • you carry at least the auto insurance required by law, and you have confirmed that your insurance covers carrying passengers for money;
  • you will follow every traffic law and every other law, rule and regulation that applies to you, including any that apply to transporting people for compensation, such as permit, licensing, registration, inspection or insurance requirements;
  • you will never drive while impaired by alcohol, drugs, medication, fatigue or anything else, and you won’t use your phone in a way that is unsafe or illegal while driving;
  • you won’t carry more passengers than you have seatbelts for; and
  • you will drive safely and treat your riders with respect.

Insurance warning: many personal auto insurance policies exclude coverage when you carry passengers for payment. If you drive for money without the right coverage, you may be personally responsible for injuries and damage, and your policy may be canceled. Ralli does not provide any insurance for drivers, riders or vehicles. It is your responsibility to check your policy and your local laws before you drive.

You set your own prices and decide which rides to offer. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on what you earn. Ralli does not guarantee you any riders or income.

8. Payments between riders and drivers

Ralli is free to download and use, and we currently charge no fees and take no commission. We do not process, hold, transfer or guarantee any payment between users.

Riders pay drivers directly, outside the app, using whatever method the two of you agree on, such as Venmo, Cash App or cash. Those payment services are run by other companies and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Prices are set by drivers and are not set, reviewed or approved by Ralli. Ralli is not responsible for non-payment, late payment, overpayment, disputes, chargebacks, fraud, scams or refunds between users, and we can’t reverse or refund any payment. Settle any disagreement about money directly with the other user.

If we ever introduce fees, we’ll tell you before they apply, and you can choose whether to keep using the Services.

9. Safety and community rules

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, bully or harm anyone;
  • discriminate against anyone based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age or any other protected characteristic;
  • engage in any sexual misconduct or unwanted physical contact;
  • drive, or ask anyone to drive, while impaired;
  • transport anything illegal, or carry weapons in violation of law or school policy;
  • post anything false, misleading, hateful, obscene or illegal, or impersonate anyone;
  • run a commercial transportation business, or use Ralli for anything other than personal rides between students;
  • share another person’s personal information, location or messages without their permission;
  • create fake accounts, manipulate ratings, or send spam;
  • scrape, copy, reverse engineer, overload, interfere with or try to get around any security or access limit of the Services; or
  • break any law or your school’s rules.

You can report and block other users in the app. We may review reports and may, but are not obligated to, take action, and we can’t promise a particular outcome or response time. We may also share information with law enforcement as described in our Privacy Policy.

Ralli is not an emergency service and does not monitor rides in real time. If you are in danger or there is an emergency, call 911 first.

10. Location features

Some features, like showing a driver’s location during a ride you’ve agreed to, use your device’s location. When you use them, your location is shared with the other person on that ride as described in our Privacy Policy. You can control location access in your device settings, but some features won’t work without it.

Location information depends on your device, network and third-party map services, and it may be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. Don’t rely on it as your only safety measure.

11. Messages, profiles and other content

You keep ownership of what you post or send through the Services, including ride posts, messages, photos, ratings and reviews (“User Content”). You give Ralli a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and use your User Content as needed to operate, improve, secure and promote the Services, and to comply with law. This license ends when your User Content is deleted, except where we need to keep it as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for your User Content and promise you have the right to share it. We may remove any User Content, or limit any account, at our discretion, including content we believe breaks these Terms. We don’t review everything users post and aren’t responsible for User Content.

12. Ratings and reviews

Riders and drivers can rate each other after a ride. Keep ratings honest and based on your own experience. Don’t offer anything in exchange for a rating, rate yourself, or use ratings to retaliate. We may remove ratings or reviews we believe are false, abusive or manipulated. Ratings reflect other users’ opinions, not ours.

13. Assumption of risk

Riding in or driving a motor vehicle carries inherent risks, including the risk of accidents, serious injury, death and property damage. Meeting and riding with people you don’t know carries additional risks, including the risk that another user is unsafe, dishonest, impaired, uninsured or unlicensed, or acts in a harmful or criminal way. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all of these risks whenever you use the Services or take or give a ride arranged through them.

14. Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Ralli and its owners, officers, employees, agents and affiliates from all claims, demands, losses and damages of every kind, known and unknown, arising out of or related to any ride, any interaction or dispute with another user, or any act or omission of another user. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” You also waive any similar law in any other place.

15. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, safety or reliability. Ralli does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that any ride, driver or rider will be available, or that any information in the Services, including profiles, ratings, locations and estimated times, is accurate. Ralli makes no representation or warranty about the conduct, identity, qualifications, licensing, insurance or intentions of any user, or about any vehicle.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ralli and its owners, officers, employees, agents and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, death, property damage, lost profits, lost data or emotional distress, arising out of or related to the Services, any ride, or the conduct of any user, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), product liability or any other theory, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid Ralli in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some places don’t allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

17. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Ralli and its owners, officers, employees, agents and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: your use of the Services; any ride you take or give; your User Content; your violation of these Terms or any law; or your violation of anyone else’s rights.

18. Third-party services

The Services rely on and link to services run by other companies, such as app stores, map and location providers, email providers and payment apps. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

19. App store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and Ralli only, not Apple or Google, and Ralli, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the app. Your license to use the app is limited to devices you own or control, as permitted by the store’s usage rules.

For the iOS app: Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Ralli, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and intellectual property infringement claims. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

20. Our app and your license to use it

The Services, including the app, website, design, logos and software, belong to Ralli or our licensors and are protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your own device for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or create derivative works from the Services, or use our name or logo without our written permission.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

21. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend, limit or end your access at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you’ve broken these Terms, created risk for other users or Ralli, or are no longer eligible. We may also change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those on payments between users, assumption of risk, release, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution and governing law.

22. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and to have a jury hear your claims.

Informal resolution first. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at support@letsralli.app with a description of your claim and to try in good faith to resolve it with us for at least 30 days.

Binding individual arbitration. If we can’t resolve it, you and Ralli agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator, and not any court, will decide questions about the scope, enforceability and validity of this arbitration agreement. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

Class action and jury waiver. You and Ralli may bring claims against each other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims. You and Ralli each waive the right to a jury trial.

Opting out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@letsralli.app from the address on your account with the subject “Arbitration opt-out” and your name. Opting out won’t affect any other part of these Terms.

If this arbitration agreement is found not to apply to a claim, that claim will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Georgia, and you and Ralli consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

23. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know in the app, by email or by updating the date at the top of this page before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept them. If you don’t agree, stop using the Services and delete your account.

25. General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Ralli about the Services. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce any part isn’t a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them, for example in connection with a merger or sale. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Except as stated in the app store terms above, there are no third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Headings are for convenience only.
